How do you get rid of the big roaches permanently?

I am terrified of roaches (mainly the big flying ones) and we now have them in our house. I want them gone, I don't even care how toxic or how much it costs. What is the best and most effective way to get rid of them? I know right now in Texas we are going through an extreme drought so they're coming in like never before. I have the biggest phobia of them so please someone help me!
