I know this is a morbid question, but...?

This answer may be equally morbid, but if she dies in the winter but her in a bag or a box and keep her in the freezer until you can bury her. If you don't have a place where you can bury her find a nice place outdoors, but be careful as you're not always allowed to bury dead things in public areas. If you're not worried about bending the law a little I would do that. Otherwise you can always bury her at a pet cemetery, but that's not much less silly than cremation... good luck!!
