I have a 1996 pontiac Grand Am GT 2 door. Can I wire up an amp and sub to the stock stereo?

It does not have the RCA Jacks in the back, all it has is the standard GM connections for the speakers, and an optional plug for an additional changer, so I need help. I would like to just get an aftermarket stereo, but if I don't need to, why spend the money?
