How to get Featured in an Article in Magazine?

I agree totally with Mac's answer above. I should warn you, however, that every magazine gets hundreds of letters and emails every day, most of them pitching something. You need to have something very interesting to say, and you need to say it in a way that will catch the editor's attention in just a few seconds. From personal experience, I can tell you that when an editor gets a pile of mail on his desk that is over a foot high, he will not give your letter more than a few moments of attention. Time simply wouldn't permit that. So make sure your project is fascinating. Make sure you're sending the information to a publication whose readers would be interested in your project. And write it as convincingly and perfectly as you can. One misspelling, or one dull sentence, and it goes into the wastebasket. Sorry, but that's the way it really works.
