How can i put purple streaks or layers in my hair at home, i've got the colour but scared it will go wrong

Buy a tight fitting streaking cap and pull the hair through the holes and dye them. The bigger the holes, the more hair you will colour. If it all goes wrong, you can always dye it back to your original colour.
